The policy applies to all employees and apprentices with an employment level of at least 20% who are covered by the Migros National Collective Labour Agreement (L-GAV Migros), regardless of contract type (e.g., monthly salary, hourly wage, management contract). A prerequisite is that the probation period has been successfully completed.

Excluded from the policy are employees with fixed-term contracts of up to three months, employees whose employment relationship has been terminated, and retired employees without an active employment relationship.
The financial entitlement is based on the employment level:
For employees paid a monthly salary, the employment level applicable on January 1 or at the start of employment is used.
For hourly paid employees, the employment level is calculated based on the average workload of the previous calendar year or, for new hires, from the date of entry.
The maximum entitlement is calculated on a pro rata monthly basis.
Example of an employee joining a Migros company during the year:
Example of a fixed-term employment contract:
Partial months are counted as full months, and amounts including centimes are rounded up to the next full Swiss franc.
No pro-rata adjustment is made when leaving during the year. This means that your financial entitlement is not reduced retrospectively and any reimbursements already granted will not be reclaimed.
For employees with multiple positions, all employment percentages as of January 1 are added together, and the financial entitlement is assigned to the primary employment contract.
The current balance of your financial entitlement is shown on your monthly payslip.
Courses (available throughout Switzerland):
Annual memberships (available throughout Switzerland):
Yes. You may book as many eligible offers as you wish until your financial entitlement has been fully used. Once your financial entitlement has been exhausted, further bookings will no longer receive financial support from either the Migros leisure activity providers or the L-GAV companies. Your current balance is shown on your monthly payslip.
Example: Current balance of CHF 1 or more (see payslip):
Example: Current balance CHF 0:
L-GAV companies cover 80% of the course costs.
Migros leisure activity providers (ACTIV FITNESS, Fitnesspark, Migros Club School, Tanzwerk101, Migros Club School Eastern Switzerland, and Migros Golf AG) grant a CHF 150 discount on annual memberships. In addition, L-GAV companies provide a CHF 300 reimbursement per annual membership.
The CHF 150 discount offered by leisure activity providers cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or vouchers.
You can identify yourself as a Migros employee in one of two ways:
Providers themselves decide whether to require the presentation of an official photo ID for verification purposes.
Once your employment has been successfully verified, the Migros leisure activity provider will grant the CHF 150 discount directly on the invoice.
Submit the invoice together with proof of payment to your company no later than one month after the payment has been made.
This depends on which L-GAV company you work for.
If you work for the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, Migros Supermarket AG, or Migros Industrie Ltd., you can submit a reimbursement request through a digital application process (link).
For all other companies, separate procedures apply. Please contact your HR department. To receive reimbursement, you must submit the invoice and proof of payment. For courses, reimbursement can only be requested once the course is definitely taking place.
The reimbursement amount is independent of your employment level. Your maximum financial entitlement already reflects your employment level.
Example (40% employment level):
Maximum annual entitlement = CHF 500
Course cost = CHF 500
Reimbursement (80%) = CHF 400
Remaining current balance = CHF 100 (CHF 500 – CHF 400)
The reimbursement will be credited with the next available salary payment after the invoice has been submitted.
In this case, the reimbursement will be paid together with your January salary of the following year. The reimbursement will then be deducted from your financial entitlement for the new year.
Yes, reimbursements are subject to both social security contributions and tax.
Improperly obtained reimbursements may result in disciplinary action. For example, this applies if an invoice is submitted before a course has been definitively confirmed.
This depends on your health insurance provider. Some health insurance providers contribute towards fitness memberships or similar offers.
For detailed information, please contact your health insurance provider directly.
The relevant amount is the invoice total after deducting the CHF 150 discount granted by the Migros leisure activity provider.
