Our apprenticeship professions

At the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, we train around 70 trainees in seven different professions. Take a look at our occupational groups to find the right apprenticeship for you.

Catering/restaurant sector

Chef EFZ:

As a chef, you will prepare soups, sauces, meat, fish, buffets and desserts, write menu plans and work with suppliers. Creativity and organisation are essential for the varied tasks.

Food & Natural Sciences

Biology laboratory technician EFZ:

As a biology laboratory technician, you will analyse samples in the food sector and carry out research and graphical evaluations on the computer. You contribute to research, development and quality control.

Chemistry laboratory technician EFZ:

As a laboratory technician in chemistry, you analyse chemical substances and evaluate results. You work in the lab and on the computer and are involved in new findings and discoveries.

Commercial & IT

Digital Business Developer EFZ:

As a digital business developer, you support the digital transformation, analyse activities, processes and products, present digital solutions and act as a link between users, economic aspects and technical experts.

ICT specialist EFZ:

As an ICT specialist, you install, programme and network devices such as smartphones and computers, advise customers, support users and are very familiar with the latest ICT trends.

Computer scientist in application development EFZ:

As a computer scientist specialising in application development, you develop, implement and maintain complex IT programs in languages such as C, C++, Java or PHP and work closely with customers and employees.

Computer scientist platform development EFZ:

As a computer scientist specialising in platform development, you are responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of complex IT systems, take care of infrastructure, networks, server services, data security and provide IT support to users.

Commercial assistant EFZ:

As a commercial assistant, you plan, manage and advise, maintain an overview and move seamlessly between independent PC-based work and communications tasks. You write offers, place orders, organise events and issue invoices.

Mediamatician EFZ:

As a mediamatician, you will combine marketing and IT with commercial elements. You create images, films, texts and audio recordings, design and maintain websites and social media presences and carry out multimedia projects.
